When 7-Eleven needed a local agency to help publicize their stores, products, personnel and milestones throughout Florida, they contacted us. For more than 15 years, we worked with 7-Eleven
on projects ranging from grand openings and product launches
to free Slurpee giveaways on 7-Eleven Day and franchisee recruitment seminars.

 

We coordinated and implemented more than 100 grand openings throughout Florida, including Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Fort Myers.

In addition, we set up, staffed and managed several hundred more store events in connection with product rollouts, simultaneously coordinating and managing these events in multiple cities (often on the same weekend).  We promoted free Slurpee giveaways on 7-Eleven Days throughout Florida, and For more than 15 years, Susan Hamburg has worked with 7-Eleven, Inc. to promote the 7-Eleven brand, products, services and franchise opportunities for stores throughout Florida. Her efforts have included promotions, brand marketing and garnering media attention in Central and South Florida. She became a trusted, essential part of the team, as she was called upon to produce special events and store grand openings and to write materials for media about stores, market initiatives and our franchisees who had interesting stories and backgrounds. While implementing various marketing and public relations plans on tight budgets, Susan could be relied upon to leverage radio buys, enhance our events and remain fiscally-efficient in her projects. She worked pleasantly and effectively with store managers, franchisees and field consultants in Florida along with Dallas corporate-office management

We conducted media events at select stores in each Florida market and served as the local contact for the media attending these events. For all these events, we pitched media, negotiated added value in radio buys, hired entertainers, supervised activities and created promotional flyers.

 

Committed to hands-on service, Susan either personally attended or closely oversaw the management of each event to make sure all went smoothly. And she coordinated the activities with several levels of 7-Eleven personnel, including store managers, franchisees, state field consultants and those in the corporate office in Dallas.

 

These efforts garnered coverage for 7-Eleven in dozens of newspapers, television and radio stations across Florida. These included daily newspapers in Orlando, Daytona, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Fort Myers, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Sarasota, Bradenton, Naples, Jacksonville and
Fort Pierce.

 

We managed public outreach and scheduled media interviews throughout Central Florida for 7-Eleven’s promotion that turned several stores throughout the nation into replicas of the Kwik-E-Mart on “The Simpsons” TV show. The national promotion, which celebrated a milestone in the TV series, earned a Silver Anvil –
one of the highest awards in our profession.
