After numerous projects that included developing

outreach materials for job seekers and employers

for the State of Florida One-Stop System, the U.S.

Department of Labor asked Susan to serve as a

consultant for their nationwide outreach.


As a result, our agency developed a marketing and public relations

manual for all of the U.S. Dept. of Labor’s One-Stop Workforce Centers

throughout the country.


The One-Stop Center Public Outreach Tool Kit

provides instruction and sample templates for print

materials, including brochures, posters, direct mail

pieces, print ads, annual reports, newsletters, billboards,

bus ads and more. It also includes scripts for television and radio spots, PSAs and videos. There is instruction on website design, trade show booths, how to work with focus groups and planning job fairs.


The manual delivers detailed instruction and ready-to-use items to publicize job training and employment services, as well as how-to guides for public relations and marketing for local training centers. Included are sample press releases, media alerts and tips on how to schedule a press conference.


The 425-page manual was printed by the U.S. Department of Labor and distributed to all their One-Stop Workforce Centers nationwide. Susan then conducted seminars to instruct the centers on how best to utilize the materials and put these strategies into effect.


After reviewing the manual, the U. S. Department of Agriculture then asked Susan to develop outreach materials for several of their programs as well.
